Please visit our expanding bookshop. We have recently started to carry select Schiffer Publishing titles, included among them is Bob Lauf's new book Introduction to Radioactive Minerals. We've got the 2008 Glossary of Mineral Synonyms, the Canadian Mineralogists' Geology of Gem Deposits and numerous other new titles in stock; so please take some time to browse the bookshop.
This year saw the long awaited publication of Lithographie's own American Mineral Treasures! We are also anticipating having a number of newly published titles out in 2008: "Garnet" and "Minerals of the San Juan Mountains of Colorado" will be numbers 11 and 12 in the extraLapis series. We're also working on Mike Wise's and Skip Simmons' new book Pegmatites: Nature's Gem Treasure Chests, a new edition of John Sinkankas's Mineralogy for Amateurs (expected publication in 2009), and the first entry in our new Consummate Collector series, a book exploring the building of Jim and Dawn Minette's world-class mineral collection. We've also got a 2009 "Garnet" calendar due out this summer.
If you have ideas or suggestions for any of our upcoming projects, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Feedback from our readers, especially before a book goes to press, has proven an enormous asset to the success of each of our projects. Of course, we are also on the lookout for great photos. We have posted a specific list of locality photos needed or the Pegmatites book, and welcome submissions for any upcoming project. Please check out the Contributors pages for more information.
